Leveraging maize natural diversity to understand ear architecture

Maize has tremendous genetic diversity. Two varieties of maize can be more genetically distinct than chimps and humans. I have profiled the inflorescence meristems of diverse lines of maize to better understand what genes are important for controlling meristem size.
